I Go Dye wrote”FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD USE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SUPPORT ENTERTAINMENT BECAUSE
ENTERTAINMENT AND SPORT HAS BEEN ABLE TO BRAND NIGERIA.
The recent achievement of @wizkidayo being featured by Beyonce and other Artistes is the unprecedented should be a motivation to the federal government. They should use this opportunity to support entertainment and create a lasting solutions to piracy, developing a sustainable policy that will help to protect intellectual property.Entertainment and sport has been able to brand Nigeria in a positive light and it be encouraged by expanding it’s reach, creating financial support and incentives to them .The situation where some artistes are faced with health challenges and there is no solution because they don’t enjoy their royalties and health insurance policy should be looked upon. Artists in Nigeria only make money from playing show Moreover the royalties after a successful album should be managed properly so as to safeguard them against intellectual thefts and abuse. Only a few artistes or non is expectant of royalty benefits, which ordinarily should have been accorded all artistes if there was a comprehensive policy to protect the rights and privileges of been an entertainer, so that their children’s can enjoy the sweat of their father. Thanks to @beyonce for making the world to know that, their are still millions of talents in Africa undiscover also @wizkidayo for giving hope to the next generation that they can do better.
