Former La Liga champions, Real Madrid have finally decided not to re-sign former Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho has been linked with a return to the Los Blancos after he was sacked on Tuesday by Manchester United.
Madrid are said to still be in the market for a new manager with current coach, Santiago Solari known to be only a short-term appointment.
But Spanish outlet, Marca, is now reporting that the Champions League holders don’t want the Portuguese gaffer back at the Santiago Bernabeu despite his special relationship with Madrid president, Florentino Perez and director, Jose Angel Sanchez.
The report also claimed that Perez and Sanchez both agreed that the door at Madrid is “closed” for Mourinho’s return.
Mourinho won one La Liga title during his three years at Real Madrid.
